The inverse of population density, from the same area and population figures.
The outline is fitted to this frame, not a map for measuring distances. Outlying islands may make the main landmass appear smaller.
Scope and definitions
Physical Koh Pha-ngan area paired with the complete 2024 registered populations of Ko Pha-ngan and Ban Tai subdistricts, including municipal and non-municipal rows. Ko Tao is excluded.
Average administrative density does not describe population distribution in every neighborhood. Compare population definitions and reference dates alongside the numbers.
Place guide
How should this Koh Pha-ngan profile be read?
Koh Pha-ngan uses the physical island area and a reconstructed official population total from the two subdistricts on the island.
Why the district total was not used
Ko Pha-ngan District also includes Ko Tao subdistrict. Using the district total would place another island population inside the Pha-ngan outline.
Atlas sums both municipal and non-municipal rows for Ko Pha-ngan and Ban Tai, then excludes Ko Tao.
What remains outside the data
Registered population does not count all visitors or temporary workers present during tourism peaks.
The figure is suited to resident scale, not event crowd estimates.
